Yes mate, caring is hard going. Me and my Mom had it with my Dad. His body gave on him (quadriplegic in the end) so a different challenge, but there's parallels. Couple of mates have had parents or grandparents deal with dementia or alzheimers. Emotionally and physically exhausting.

At least you've got your online love interest Rita and a newfound love of starting aggro threads as an outlet.

Chin up mate.

….and middle fingers……

Imagine a fish. A saltwater fish. Picture it amongst flotsam in the harbour of a European port. Listen to the sound of the wave lapping on dock wall. Smell the brine. Hear the gulls cry.

Focus on your fish. Look at the glazed, long dulled eye as it bobs amongst net and plastic.

That's your level of relevance here. A dulled eye of a long dead fish in an instantly forgettable, replaceable scene.
Climate change innit.

Friend's father is experiencing Alzheimer's, his mom (his wife obvs) passed away from cancer earlier on in the COVID days.

His dad recently called him asking where his mom was, so he went over to have the conversation and found him in the living room crying. Poor man has to constantly re-live her death because of that horrible condition.

Christ, that's bloody rough.
