I believe "fingers" count for neg-rep in that if you have more middle-fingers than all other reaction scores, you can have a negative reaction score. I've only seen this with Toffee_Loaf, but it seems to be a (albeit imperfect) form of neg-rep. Just speculating here...does anyone know if this is how it actually works?

Which is a totally separate point to the one the original poster was making - footballing home nations - you took objection to this by confusing home nation and footballing home nation.

I am not being obtuse. I am simply making the point that Ireland is no longer part of the UK, it hasn't been for a very long time now and it is not a home nation. Why is that concept so difficult to grasp?

I think @Bohemian Toffee has just eloquently explained the sticking point. I do believe I have at least twice indicated a differentiation between sporting jurisdiction and nation states and you chose to ignore and continue this circuitous debate.

Great, so you agree Ireland is not a home nation. It is over 100 years since Ireland was part of the UK.
