Would get Xavi from that list

It’s going to be Potter, isn’t it?

These two with decent money behind them to rebuild the squad would be exciting.

The issue with both would be taking over mid-season with a team totally alien from the technical level theyve had previously.

Xavi did really well in the middle east with amazing ball play and Potter has his own style which really gets underdogs up the table...

...however, would we take the risk on either when were near the bottom?

If we had 5pts more id bring either in.

I’d be trying to sell the idea of a ‘project’ to Allegri. He’s managed champions league sides but started his career with teams lower down the pecking order. Might be wishful thinking but it would make going the game far more palatable than it is now.

Very good manager, is he someone that could what emery did for villa in similar positions. There are loads of good managers available, all in different stages of their career. Can’t let the club off with excuses there is no one available. Our hope is that new owners realise this.

Imagine Xavi watching Everton games to see how he can implement his attacking, fluent football on this squad. He’d have some kind of heart attack before even getting to the first training session.

See if you can find snippets of Al Sadd when he was managing them. They were playing elite level and i imagine their players arent technically superior to ours.

The risk is that were nearly midway through the season.

World class manager up to when he went back to Juvenuts...didnt he run out of ideas and then they booted him when he lost his head?

Is he on the way downhill?

If it was the Allegri after his 1st stint at Juventus it would be a no brainer.

With them being experienced now in Italy they will know all of the managers at least who have been there the past few years.

I would not be surprised if it was an italian manager coming in & perhaps even an Italian DOF. Both of course could work with a Dyche team and they may even see how Ancelotti did with us as a positive as well.

He'd actually be 1st choice but for his 2nd stint at Juventus where im sure there was a panic about him not performing as previous.

Also didnt he want to try a different league but was ignored and he just had the Juventus offer to return?

Before that...tactically amazing, multiple formations...class.

Would n`t it be fantastic to have a manager that changed thing about. Under Moyes we had 13 years of the same set up, and while it worked for a good amount of his time here it was a bit pathetic when we would go to lower league teams and set up the same way we`d play at Man U or the RS. The worst was when we played Brentford in the league cup, started with 1 up front and when he made a sub with about 20 mins left, he just swapped one CF for another and stuck with the same shape that was not working.

That’s a good point. There needs to a change that’s for certain.

One man’s pathetic is another man’s solid tactical setup. There was certainly a method and not just some guy throwing spaghetti against the wall hoping something would stick.
