That has been dispelled many times , by Dyche himself too.Lunacy was giving him a clause in his contract to pay him an extra years wages if we sack him. We actually financially incentivised him to do badly.

Few other sources mentioned it as well. It's bonkers management.
No personally I'd sack him. I'm just making a theoretical argument that logically if you were keeping him it makes sense to actually get the financial incentives the right way round. So get rid, then. You can't possibly be advocating giving Sean Dyche £11m. Right?
I'm certainly no legal expert but that seems like a pretty straightforward one to me. Maybe somebody like @jazzy would know better.Yeah I think that would arguably be the issue.
This supposed clause in his contract that entitles him to a year's salary if we terminate his contract ?I'm certainly no legal expert but that seems like a pretty straightforward one to me. Maybe somebody like @jazzy would know better.
Non denial denialDyche denied this in a televised interview.
@blulouieGardening leave is cheaper than sacking him
That was exactly what I was asking. Thanks. This supposed clause in his contract that entitles him to a year's salary if we terminate his contract ?
Obviously I have no idea if the clause exists.
I guess you are asking if putting him on gardening leave and paying him until the end date of his contract would amount to constructive dismissal?
Well it could , undoubtedly.
However Dyche would have to sue us for breach of contract and we could tie him up in litigation for a couple of years which would delay any PSR implications and could persuade SD into taking a deal.
