Do we know this . Bar a podcastLunacy was giving him a clause in his contract to pay him an extra years wages if we sack him. We actually financially incentivised him to do badly.
Lunacy would be paying him to be a failure.

Bobble confirmed it. This is Everton I don't doubt it!
As I said I'd sack him but if he's staying give him an incentive to actually win matches and get as many points as possible. As it is I don't think he's particularly bothered what happens as he still gets paid the same money.
Not if he gets 5m + 5m for being sackedIf £5m + £3m ain't enough to motivate him I don't think money is the solution. Maybe bars of soap in a pillow case, full metal jacket style, is the answer?
So what are you proposing? Upping the bonus to £6m?Not if he gets 5m + 5m for being sacked
Few other sources mentioned it as well. It's bonkers management. And this is why Everton is such a laughing stock …bobble confirmed it . Wtf
Why would he take any bonus that doesn’t outdo what his contract already says?So what are you proposing? Upping the bonus to £6m?
Just get rid.
Either get rid (preferred option) or make it financially worth his while not to be sacked. That's the only two logical options. So what are you proposing? Upping the bonus to £6m?
Just get rid.
Exactly, either sack him or financially incentive him to stay up.Why would he take any bonus that doesn’t outdo what his contract already says? And if that’s the case, we should sack him and hire someone else who won’t be costing us £5m a year.
So get rid, then. You can't possibly be advocating giving Sean Dyche £11m. Right?Either get rid (preferred option) or make it financially worth his while not to be sacked. That's the only two logical options.
I imagine he would argue that that was constructive dismissal and that he would be entitled to his payout.Gardening leave is cheaper than sacking him
Theoretically, we don't know exactly details of his contract. Sacking him and finishing a few positions higher than currently makes it a wash.Gardening leave is cheaper than sacking him
Possibly. But United did it successfully with Dan AshworthI imagine he would argue that that was constructive dismissal and that he would be entitled to his payout.
Yeah I think that would arguably be the issue.I imagine he would argue that that was constructive dismissal and that he would be entitled to his payout.
