International break after the West Ham game. 2 weeks for a new manager to get players to kick the ball on the floor to each other and then kick it in the goal.
I’m optimistic that the takeover can be done at some point during that 2 week break. Gives it 3 weeks for it to be done, so it’s a possibility. Just can’t see him getting sacked even if we lose next week until the new owners are in. I don’t think they can even tell Moshri to sack him and they will pay, as I think there is some rule about shadow directors. And as it’s widely known we are in the process of a takeover, it would just bring unwanted attention from the premier league. Need this takeover to happen asap.

Don’t know much about Allegri but I think we’ll get someone decent when the time comes, with the big proviso that we’re safe in PL terms. Investment to come and the new stadium will be attractive. It’s just that we’re in a bit of a pickle currently and need to ensure we get through the season safely.

Why do you think we'll get someone "decent", have you seen Roma?

Big Dunc is out of work 😒
The first thing the administrators did to try to save Inverness from going bust was to get rid of the manager who was working for free.
At least he now has some experience at managing a team, although his time at Inverness saw 2 relegations and the club going into financial meltdown. And there was that spell at Forest Green too, who also ended up relegated.

We’ll probably nick a 97th minute equaliser off YoungyTarky’s shin and keep him in the job knowing us. Embarassing!

It's an interesting situation - we have a manager that can grind out PL results with an unbalanced squad with limited quality - the favourite replacement is Moyes who is similar (but proven better to be fair).

The ideal situation is that we are in the middle of the table with a beefier squad that allows room for error - then you can gamble on the new manager being progressive (similar to the pre-Martinez situation).

I can see why some want to use Moyes like West Ham have - to stabilise the club, build a better squad then move on when they think the time is right for a gamble.

It almost benefits Dyche to be where we are in the table - the margins are fine and the cautious among us don't want to rock the boat whilst we are circliing the drain.

I totally sympathise with the fans who want something more exciting - but how long would it take to build and at what cost (e.g. PL status) - it just seems like something to do in the summer if the new owners are in place - not January in a rubbish transfer market and with us hovering above the relegation zone.

I’ve been semi content to stick with him as long as we were grinding out results, but we aren’t any more. He has sprinkled a couple of actual footballers into the squad and made our football somehow even worse. It’s a massive decision which could backfire spectacularly, but don’t think it can be ignored any more, regardless of who makes it.

Plenty of scope for the potential/probable buyers to have an almost total input over a replacement.

I guess my point is more that I can understand why Moyes is top of the vote - even though it wouldn't bbe a football revolution.
