Dyche would struggle in the Championship these days.Clearly not bottom 10% manager just by the fact he is managing a PL team. Maybe you mean bottom 10% in the PL managers, which we could also endlessly argue the toss about.
We are a bottom 10% club at present so if what you say is correct we have what we deserve.
Were bottom 10% because we have a bottom 10% manager its that simple.
He is a atrocious manager and hes done everything in his power to drag everton down to his lever of mediocrity and expectation. Hes got a big chunk of the fanbase fooled into thinking hes some miracle worker and 17th is the best we can do when in actual fact hes just crap and dragging us down.
Hes so bad that in goodisons last season most of us would take 17th right now, its a absolute joke.
Ive wanted him gone since we beat Bournemouth to stay up. Knew from his first 6 months here what was going to happen and it has. No progression, no style of play, no attempt to improve us, no attempt to bring youth through. Just the same crap from day 1 too Saturday nearly 2 years later.
2 years later and hes still crying in every interview about how the club was before he got here. Youve had 2 years to sort it out you bald ginger kopite prick!
I don't get the Thomas Frank love
Bottom 10% would be being in the bottom 2 mate.
If you don't think Villa have a better squad than us you can't ever have watched a single game of football in your life. They are absolutely light years better than us in every department.Dyche would struggle in the Championship these days.
The game has changed and safety first and try and nick a goal doesn’t wash in any league.
Also bottom 10% implies we are worse than Southampton/ipswich/Leicester which is utter nonsense.
The only teams in the league that have massively superior squads to us are the top 6.
The likes of Villa/forest etc are just actually managed well by managers who want to improve players and win games not build a club for his mates to play in.
Same here mate. I’ve never thought Brentford have looked great against us (I know they play against other teams as well) and he wouldn’t be on my shortlist.I don't get the Thomas Frank love
It really isn’t though is it?If you don't think Villa have a better squad than us you can't ever have watched a single game of football in your life. They are absolutely light years better than us in every department.
Nah i've said before, stuff like this totally takes away from the genuine criticisms of the manager and the club. Villa are just miles better than us, Emery is a better manager than Dyche but most of their players are better than most of our players too. Making out like the only thing stopping us from matching them is the manager just makes all criticism easily ignored because it's so far off the mark. Villa's squad is easily top 6 level on paper, ours has probably got 2 players who could justifiably get moves to that level. It really isn’t though is it?
Better coached by a mile. But it isn’t a team of superstars like the top 6 are.
If you honestly think that John McGinn/Konsa/Cash/Tielemens/Digne/Ramsey are top drawer players who should be competing with the billion pound squads at the top then you are kidding yourself.
Even the likes of Watkins aren’t really better than DCL was when he was actually well managed (Watkins would be crap in this set up too).
People are convincing themselves that because the squad is managed by one of the worst managers in the country that it is somehow a bad squad. That a load of premier players apparently can’t pass a ball.
The villa squad was crap under Gerrard. Now it is good under Emery.
Demand better from the club. Don’t give them excuses.
Just listened to a podcast and they mentioned that it’s realistic to expect the sale will complete mid-Dec. If this prediction is true Everton are likely to appoint a new manager over Christmas…
How does this change the perspective of this discussion?
Everton and DCL absolutely tanked for goals scored once Digne and Siggurdson left. Digne is definitely a much better fullback than any we currently have.It really isn’t though is it?

Well mate if Digne was still here it would suggest we wouldn't have had a PSR nightmare, having to install a manager like Dyche.Imagine Digne in a Dyche side Chained to the left sided centre back while Ndiaye marks the opposition winger.
