Never. You can't trust him after he left us for Madrid.

I know we're no Real Madrid but we were still left in the lurch. Look what's happened since.
He's not an ex girlfriend that cheated. He's a professional football manager that got offered a far better job.
Could easily have been promised things that weren't delivered too. Muzzy was still involved when he was hired right?
It would be fantastic to get him back

A lot would need to happen before that would happen though so it's probably a moot point

Can see Carlo either retiring or taking an international job if he gets pushed out by Madrid.

I think we were just a placeholder for him really until a big job came along. But I don't doubt his sincerity when he says good things about us.

He clearly didn't do much research about us when taking the job. If he did become available then an approach is worth a shout. But even then maybe he looks at the business at Roma and says no thanks TFG.

I don't think it's ever going to be a serious prospect.

what’s not mate carlo?

I don’t know who Imanol Alguacil is, but he had no votes and I’m a fan of the underdog, so I’m all in on him getting a 5 year deal.

Edit. Googled him. Done a decent job at Sociedad, even winning a trophy and having a 46% win percentage. I’m convinced.

Took over 2018 after they had just finished 12th.

He's the same age as Dyche, but he is in pole position for a big position in Spain, if a domestic manager is asked almost every time.

One of his biggest strength is making players better: Isak, Odegaard revival, Sorloth and also Merino just some recent examples. Kubo and Oyarzabal are always named for a move to a big club.

They are our rival, but he does really good work there.

Gipuzokoa is the smallest province in Spain and all 4 Spanish premier league managers are born there. 750'000 people.

You keep banging this drum but there’s absolutely 0 chance he leaves of his own accord mid-season, and I also don’t see anyway Dyche sees the season out either.

There seems to be a fair amount of negativity around the attractiveness of the role.

While we dont know how much the Friedkins would pay a new manager, we are paying Dyche £5mil a season and they previously hired Mourinho so wont be shy.

Everton is one of the biggest names in English football.

There will be a new world class stadium (weve already been told our youth and 1st team training facilities are top notch).

New ownership with capital behind them

I think this job is probably one of the most attractive in the game. Anyone who gets the team back into the upper places will be forever remembered and can write their own ticket.

Agree is not a quick fix but if you back your ability as a coach and ofc we need restructure at the club. But it 100% can be changed here for the better, i do think is a great chance for somebody to come here and build this club back up. Still really curious who that will be

Its got to be the 'right' person at the 'right' time of course...massive job but huge potential upside for the next manager.

I think you are about as wrong as it gets there to be honest.

How so?

I just don’t think we’re a particularly appealing prospect for a manager at all. Worst case scenario we’re in the championship, best case scenario we’re coming off the back of a 4th consecutive slog against relegation. There are very few good players to work with, both the club and the owners have a reputation for sacking managers, the fan base is notoriously volatile, there’s no existing structure in place to work with, and we have no recent record of success. If it's now rather than the end of the season then even more so, as there's the possibility of getting us relegated.

Obviously the wages and the opportunity to work in the PL will be a factor, but realistically there aren’t going to be top managers fighting over the vacancy for any other reason.
