At Roma they brought in a manager specifically to win the club a trophy in Mourinho as they knew that's what the fans craved most, they then after he burnt out like he always does they brought in again a manager they knew the fans would get fully behind in Rossi. The current one I'd say with Juric is a stop gap as a yine following Rossi will have a poison chalice with the fans.

So in short I think they will be receptive of what the supporters want (at least initially) so gauging the room of Everton supporters, I'd expect a forward thinking manager far away from the defensive old school British manager type.

Forget about the likes of Southgate, Moyes etc or any other divisive appointment, simply it don't happen.

Carsley hand in heart is the one I'd love to see them go for, but it'd be a huge risk as although he's got a great reputation, he's unproven in league management.

The lad from Dortmund looks better on stat sheets than when you read into him more, criticised for being too defensive v any possession team etc (that'd be every game at us)

Lee Carsley is set to be confirmed as permanent England manager, so you can rule him out of being Everton manager any time before 2030.
