Actually it will be because they have just moved back to LA from San Diego. Temp home ground for 3 years this one, before there new one is built
They don't have fans in LA.

They spent 1 year in LA when they were first created. Most of those fans are dead or elderly I suspect. their marketing department are making the most of them being an "LA" team originally when in truth they failed there and moved to San Diego to try and get some momentum and fans.

All of their home games are like this in Carson.

Many of their fans from San Diego hate them now and that drive up the 5 is nuts at the best of times.

The Rams own the Stadium they are moving into. They will only rent from the Rams. The NFL though want the Rams to pretend the Chargers are 50/50 owners though.

They still won't fill that stadium. Nor will the Rams for that matter. But the Rams actually have fans from LA.

It's funny listening to friends of mine who support both teams.

The Ram's have more support in LA and will probably do fine though. The Chargers won't unless they win every season.

LA is filled with people who move there and have other teams that they come as fans of. It also didn't have a team for 20 years so lots of people just jumped on with other teams. The Rams still have somewhat of a leftover presence, as do the Raiders, but it was still 20 years. The Rams were outnumbered by 49ers fans at the game yesterday and the teams that travel well have turned the Coliseum into a neutral site at best many times. The city could have maybe handled one team at best. Moving two in was insanity.

The Chargers they have no presence. Carson was done to try and make it less embarrassing these next few years until they move but that hasn't worked. And when someone like the Jaguars or Titans go to play the Chargers in the new place it will be a complete embarrassment as 20k fans might show up to a 75k seat arena. It's funny because the Raiders desperately wanted to move to LA and may have landed the better deal in Vegas. The Chargers very easily could become the laughing stock of the league in the coming seasons once Rivers retires.
