The point is escalation. I also said he grazed him, not bludgeoned him lol.

He essentially brought something not designated as a weapon, and weaponized it in a confrontation.

He ripped the dudes helmet off. He has to call plays, then the dude runs at him to grab it and he attempts to bash him in the head with it.

It was the most entertaining part of the game by far, but only here have I seen the "it's no big deal" attitude. Which isn't surprising. When people say if he got hit with the crown he would have been busted open and needed stitches. They aren't wrong.

They've gotten better, but the top of the face masks where they are screwed into the helmet can cut you open like it's nothing.

I don't particularly pay too much attention to stats as it doesn't tell you the complete picture, not always anyway. I focus mainly on situations and Rivers just cannot be called upon on a consistent basis. Like tonight, set aside the other 3 interceptions he threw, seconds to go and his team needed a leader against a division rival to step up to send the game to OT..........nope he bottled it again. Rivers just isn't a leader.

Now the team is 4-7 and probably out of the playoff race.

He's also like 40, and they didn't give him any talent in his prime besides Antonio Gates. LT was before his prime. The chargers completely wasted his career.

Putting his career in context at the end is going to be difficult to do. Some really great seasons, some really questionable ones, always too many turnovers, limited playoff success and his weird attitude all have to be considered and I don't really know where it leaves him when people look back in 20 years.

However you want to frame it, it's not the same as a hammer, graze or bludgeon. Unless you'd like to test your theory out by letting me 'graze' you with a hammer??? :o :p

What criminal act did Rudolph commit? Face masking? So is every player who gets face masked now free to do whatever they want?

What about the guys who get hit by a defender leading with the helmet? That's way worse. So now they are free to run around and tear people's helmets off and hit them with it?

I think their's a reason you're not a lawyer, you should stick to not playing one on the internet. Thelawdictionary.com is another site you might find useful.

I wanted Rudolph to press charges to turn it into an all out bleep-show. I don't really think he should he charged with assualt, but I also don't really care about Myles Garrett and he looked like an absolute clown. So if he got charged, i'd be fine with it. It'd be hilarious.

You seem hell bent on vindicating the dude for some reason.

You seem so hellbent on disagreeing with me that you’re having trouble reading

Garrett coached scared and lost because of it. New England are pretty bad on offense but teams turn it over a ton against them and that gets them enough points.
