Mathematically safe here today if Ipswich do not win.
…Arsenal winning 1-0, Moyes spotted putting BMD postcode in his Sat Nav.
Mathematically safe here today if Ipswich do not win.
0-1 Arsenal, already safe age ago but will be nice to be confirmed
Liverpool win later today and Arsenal lose midweek, Gives Liverpool the Title midweek when they are not even playing, Saves us seeing them win it at Anfield against Spurs next week and the rubbish we'd have to listen to all around with that happening.…and postpone title celebrations for another week or so.
City play Notts Forest in the FA Cup Semi at the same time as the Liverpool v Spurs match so I suspect most eyes will be on that.Liverpool win later today and Arsenal lose midweek, Gives Liverpool the Title midweek when they are not even playing, Saves us seeing them win it at Anfield against Spurs next week and the rubbish we'd have to listen to all around with that happening.
Having done so well in recent seasons (back to back promotions) they have to be one of the poorest of the recent teams that have come up and they spent fortune also. Really surprised at how they have been, McKenna has looked miles out of his depth at this level.Ipswich are godawful.
I guess now there isn't any excuse indeed to get on with planning next season even though deep down everyone knew that we were safe weeks ago. Problem is we haven't replaced thelwell yet so from a recruitment/contract perspective not sure how can we really implement some of the planning ideas/strategies from the new ownership. Now we can crack on with Stadium naming rights, commercial deals, and player contracts etc. A lot were being held back until we were mathematically safe but we can press on/announce things.
