What happened to the days when blues owned drinking in town,worse was everywhere kicking out at 2am and mass battles to make it out of town
Plus the North end drank around Dale Street and the South end drank around Hardman Street - thems was the rules !

So was the old bier keller with the afternoon strippers
The sportsman, and the penny farthing got warned by the bar women in the penny farthing as I was only 17 about my age six of us then all got refused to be served because of my then baby face - the others moaned at me as we walked out as we got to the corner a butchers police van raided the penny farthing pub - they then thanked me even the the 16 year old mateslol

I went to Gullivers most embarrassing moment the dance floor had a huge mirror on it went in there sloshed thought this place looks big!
I walked up to the mirror which I thought was part of the massive dance floor demonstrating whith the bloke in my way to step aside turned around to see my mates at the bar in bulk laughing, I went bright red never returned ever to that poky club!lol
The Grafton was also a well known dive seen some agro in there in my youth, the bouncers really did bounce them out!lol
