I was somehow allowed that by my parents as a child, but they disapproved of sweet cigarettes and fake cigarettes you could blow a cloud of white powder from.

Yes cane back when he heard Harry H Corbett was going to play his part in Steptoe & son with a younger top actor David Hemmings playing tthe son he went on to be a movie star - Harry did not get on acting wise with Brambel the old guy turning up late forgetting to rehearse his lines etc
Brambell threatened the BBC to sue etc so the show carried on in the same format on the scripts already written...
He scarpered over there in a one man show that flopped - soon came back a very good actor but believed to be infuriating to act with
