Timperley Early?I've got a ton of early rhubarb in the freezer for the autumn/winter.
Sainsbury's actually. Was very pink, and reduced to 20 pence for around 4 stalks. Bought a ton, can't remember the variety though.Timperley Early?
Did you stew it first?I've got a ton of early rhubarb in the freezer for the autumn/winter.
No, just cut it into about 4" lengths, freeze separately on a tray (stops them sticking together) and bung into the freezer in bags. I have stewed them and put it in the freezer, same with apples, you can use either method.Did you stew it first?
Always found it easier to cook first just because of the defrost. No, just cut it into about 4" lengths, freeze separately on a tray (stops them sticking together) and bung into the freezer in bags. I have stewed them and put it in the freezer, same with apples, you can use either method.
Probably was.Sainsbury's actually. Was very pink, and reduced to 20 pence for around 4 stalks. Bought a ton, can't remember the variety though.
I remember puncturing several of them too ...These had a nasty tendency to end up in other people's gardens.
Vainly trying to play on with them when they were flat as a pancake.I remember puncturing several of them too ...
I'm probably misremembering, but I vaguely recall them making whites ones too. These had a nasty tendency to end up in other people's gardens.
Or trying to mend it by melting it slightly with a red hot poker.Vainly trying to play on with them when they were flat as a pancake.
We used an old knife so we could spread it over the puncture.Or trying to mend it by melting it slightly with a red hot poker.
Much better ideaWe used an old knife so we could spread it over the puncture.
