Remember an annual fee for them - then £5 for the paper booklet till you were 70 years old ,!….i passed my test around 1975, still use my original paper licence but it wasn’t one of these;

I have a shared JFK memory too but I also remember being in California in 1980 and for some reason they were playing a lot of John Lennon songs on the radio.….that is a brilliant memory. I can imagine that was very much a ‘where were you’ moment.
Weird how they stick in your mind. I remember hearing my Mum talking to a neighbour at the back of Lytton St in Everton about JFK being shot. A lot more recently, heading to a meeting in Leeds on M62 near Brighouse when it came on the radio that Alan Ball had died.

Is that George Henry Lees? If so many happy memories from there as a kid, my mum used to buy fabric from there, back then it was cheaper to make your own clothes and soft toys.
