Chocolate chewing nuts! A staple of a family Tuesday evening in the 70s when my nan brought a bag of them around. They'd last ages, despite being handed around 6 of us. Bonus when it was your turn if you picked up one connected to a few others.

Made at Williamsons toffee works in Bootle. My aunty worked there and would bring home the rejects, loved them.

My late mum also worked in a sweet factory, used to get a ton of rejects. Never got sick of them either.

I don't know whether it was that game but, around that time, the cleaner at the London college I was studying in got into a Forest game free. He was a mad Arsenal fan and was travelling to the Arsenal away game at Newcastle or somewhere. The Arsenal game got called off so on the way back they stopped and phoned around a few grounds to see if their game was still on. Forest told them that if they could get there and help clear the pitch of snow they would get free tickets for the match. That's what happened.
Certainly wouldn't happen these days ...
