Going to Woolies to buy the latest ELO album on vinyl. Remember getting Out of The Blue . Got it home and found it was on BLUE vinyl. Whooooooo !!! Pretty cool. Playing it on the new music centre with the clear plastic lid. Sounded better than the CD version I now have. Do records sound better than CD's ? Or is it just my nostalgic tendencies kicking in

Vinyl played on a really good system still sounds better than a CD. It just sounds more natural and has been proved so in blind tests. As for MP3, I'm just glad that I'm old enough so that I can't hear the loss in top-end quality.
My lad wants a record player ( coz his mates just bought one ). I'll soon be playing my old LP's again. AND be able to read the record sleeve notes without using a magnifying glass like for CD's
