Have to say the olympics was class , much much better than I thought they were going to be .
An amazing medal haul from our boxers , the atmosphere here for all the bouts was brilliant , in particular Katie's .
Only got to see bits and pieces of the closing ceremony , I was enjoying a tune or two from Fatboy Slim and next minute Jessie J arrived on the scene , she hurts my ears bad , super olympics , Rio have a job on to better it .

Turned the TV off and it just feels like i have nothing to do at all now...i'm going to miss the Olympics 
But this past year has been brilliant when you consider that we have had the Jubilee, Olympics and a great Euros too. Genuinally very proud to be British, no matter who cringy that sounds.
Anyway the closing ceremony definitely got better as it went on, Gary Barlow performing amazed me, im really shocked he managed to perform, thought before his tragedy he would have performed the Jubilee song, but then i assumed he wouldnt perform at all for obvious reasons.
Spice girls were ok like, thought sporty spice (cant remember her name - mel c?) took over in terms of vocals abit, Victoria Beckham for me was definitely phwoarrr - but im sure not so many will agree!!
Eric Idle was probably the best part of it for me, in both ceremonies he has to be up there with the Mr Bean and James Bond segment.
Honestly, the only thing that could have made the opening/closing ceremonies better would have been a giant game of Quidditch.

Not usually into this sort of thing, but it was really very, very good. Hats off to the organisers and volunteers. Cracking effort.

That Olympics was amazing... I have been lucky to have seen numerous Olympics ( prob since LA 84) and have enjoyed each one but seriouisly,,, this has been the best I have ever seen.... not even arsed.... gutted it's finished now.
