I actually love that Tory [Poor language removed].

**** off NBC. They stop the closing ceremonies to air the pilot from some new **** show they have been pimping for the last two days, dangling the Who on the back end. Again, **** off NBC.

And if God really existed, he would never have let Freddy die knowing that **** would have been signing his song at the Closing ****ing Ceremonies 20 years later. BTW, no joke, I had never heard of her before tonight.

I'll put my Neutral Hat on here and score the Olympics and see where it rates in the Scheme of things since I started watching in '88.

OC - Opening Ceremony

Seoul 1988 - OC 7 - INF 7 - ATH 8 - RE 8 - BZ 10 - CS 8 TOTAL = 48/60
Barcelona 1992 - OC 5 - INF 5 - ATH 7 - RE 6 - BZ 8 - CS 7 TOTAL = 38/60
Atlanta 1996 - OC 8 - INF 5 - ATH 7 - RE 7 - BZ 6 - CS 6 TOTAL = 39/60

Complete Neutrality here mate.

Type in 'best Olympic Games' in google, and after the Olympic Wiki Page there stands Sydney.

And I quoth

The Sydney 2000 Summer Olympic Games or the Millennium Games/Games of the New Millennium, officially known as the Games of the XXVII Olympiad, were an international multi-sport event which was celebrated between 15 September and 1 October 2000 in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. It was the second time that the Summer Olympics were held in the Southern Hemisphere, the first one being in Melbourne in 1956. These were the first games since the Seoul games to be conducted during the Northern Hemisphere autumn season, joining the aforementioned Melbourne games (which were held during the Southern Hemisphere summer), the Tokyo games (conducted in October 1964), the Mexico City Games (conducted in October 1968), and the Seoul games.
The Games received near-universal acclaim, with the organisation, volunteers, sportsmanship and Australian public being lauded in the international media. Bill Bryson from The Times called the Sydney Games "one of the most successful events on the world stage", saying that they "couldn't be better". James Mossop of the Electronic Telegraph called the Games in an article "such a success that any city considering bidding for future Olympics must be wondering how it can reach the standards set by Sydney", while Jack Todd in the Montreal Gazette suggested that the 'IOC should quit while it's ahead. Admit there can never be a better Olympic Games, and be done with it", as "Sydney was both exceptional and the best". [SUP][2][/SUP] In preparing for the 2012 Olympic Games in London, Lord Sebastian Coe declared the Sydney games the "benchmark for the spirit of the Games, unquestionably" and admitting that the London organising committee "attempted in a number of ways to emulate what [the Sydney organising committee] did."

And i repeat -

Hahaha! Neutral...but Australia win!

Hahaha! Neutral...but Australia win!

You bloody ripper mate. Here's an Olympic fact for you. Despite holding the 1948 games and sending in 398 Athletes, Great Britain only managed three Gold medals. Australia sent 75 Souls on that fateful voyage, and got two Gold medals.

Fair Dinkum, indeed.

I think the IOC President said the Aussie games were the best ever, and it hasn't been said since I don't think? So fair play to Macca for holding onto past glories there.

Just sayin' is all. Great games, London, yeah, but not THE BEST EVER.

Good try though.
