Be a great move if Carsley comes in with him. Moyes is no spring chicken and Carsley would be in a good spot to take over in 18 months, although that rarely seems to work in football.

Who did Moyes have with him at West Ham? Billy McKinlay was it? He won't be bringing Kevin Nolan surely.
I'm happy enough with Moyes, it is what it is, but if we could build in a bit of long-term succession planning like this with such a highly rated coach on the staff, I think it would be a very good solution.

Nolan has just got a job as Northampton manager thank God.
