If it is just 6 months then fair enough i guess. He has a much better career record than Dyche anyway. Just having positives in W/L and Goals For and Against is a plus. Dyches career record was shocking.

13/14 years of just nothingness

sorry mate but i was expecting something bigger/better

under new owners
It’s coming, mate. It is. But it’s being done in stages. And it’s all about perspective. The biggest thing they did was take care of finances. Huge deal that was. They’re getting naming rights.

They saw Dyche was sinking us and acted decisively and quickly. Assigned an interim manager they saw as the best available. That means they’ve been in talks planning all this in case Dyche continued poor results.

Gave all employees a bonus. They’re working on making moves in the transfer window that we’ve been unable to do for years. They’re working on getting the next long-term manager.

They added an awesome tribute to EFC on their corporate page and handed out swag. They’re giving Everton visibility outside the UK, which will be good for merchandise sales.

This all has been done since they officially took over just a few weeks ago. I’d say they’ve shown all signs they mean business and they fully intend to bring us back to glory. Everything they’ve done, in my opinion, shows they are fiercely defending us and their investment with all signs pointing upwards and onwards. COYB UTFT 💙

Make no mistake about it the best shape we’ve been in as a team was under Moyes in our recent history, he can work with the squad we have an is a stop gap until the summer. Whilst I think it lacks imagination it’s a pragmatic choice given Dyche had clearly given up and TFG had to do something.
He sounded like a guy who wanted to leave with some of his recent comments.

Couple of issues.

Who signs for the club when the manager is leaving in six months?
For the contracted players, who remains committed to a manager who is leaving in six months?

Players sign all the time with managers under serious pressure. Man. United signed about six players in the summer despite Ten Hag being a lame duck once he had another poor run.

I think as a modern player you know even in a five year spell you'll probably be playing for 3-4 different managers if you stay at one club so it's miles different to the 80s and 90s when managers genuinely did get three full years before they were properly judged. Now it's three months or even three games.
