We were a better team them that year i think. That was a mediocre rs team but we still found a way to blow it.

The first leg game against Fiorentina, that Wigan FA Cup quarter final, that second leg Benfica game that someone just mentioned to me.

How much more evidence do you want exactly? He'll do his usual adequate job which will do for now i suppose.

Boring really is the operative word when it comes to David Moyes.
Metal karkiv or what ever there name was 5-0

Exactly. There seems to be some weird sentiment that there must be dozens of great candidates beating down the doors to take over a relegation-threatened team midseason and how could these idiots possibly disregard all of them to go for their first choice David Moyes just for the sake of sentimentality (for a club they've owned for less than 3 weeks)?!

It was only recently that there were plenty of rumors that they were holding out for Iraola or maybe Thomas Frank in the summer. But nobody of that ilk would even take our call in January. Why would they?

So, yeah, I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt here that they're just trying to make the best out of a crap situation that they've been forced into by the staggering incompetence of the manager they inherited.
I’d almost say thank you David for taking it on when we’re rudderless and no one else would. He’ll turn us around and eventually we’ll have our choice from all the managers who want to come here.

It ain't over until the ghost of Kenwright sings.

My problem is this will go beyond just a short term thing. Fans will want him to stay longer.

People revere his time here but for me the small time thinking really gathered under him and the former chairman.

He talks about us at times as if the club has barely achieved anything in its history.

So we have an even worse record since he left then.
Bottling games in the latter stages of cups isn’t really our main concern right now is it.

And how are things working out for you since you jibbed your most successful manager of the past 50 years?
As I said before, Loppy being so bad doesn't make Moyes any better. Unfortuantely, as with many clubs the bigest issue is the ownership . Sullivan is a clown and refused to pay the release on Amorim. No one wanted Loppy.
