Moyes till end of the season I can be happy with. But in the summer, new owner, new board, new stadium, and probably overhaul of the squad I feel a new manager would be best option to get this club revamped on moving in the right direction.
He’ll be here until 2030.

It’s what Kenwright’s children want.

Our last 3 appointments have been Dyche, Lampard and Benitez and you don't think we'd have an interest in the bloke that won West Ham a European trophy?

No. West Ham binned him off twice for good reason. There's plenty of managers of of contract and he'd be bracketed with O'Neil/Lopetegui.

He was due to come back last time too until Ancelotti become available.

He biggest driver of it is solely his connection with the club. It's like Ranieri at Roma.

What if he was announced on a 6 month deal?
I can't see it happening and tbh I'd still be annoyed.

It's a plaster solution. I hated Dyche's footy as much as anyone. Moyes is unlikely to wave a magic wand and have this squad looking much different until the end of the season and just brings a pile of distractions and disputes with the support

This scares me a bit about his second stint at West Ham. He joined when they were 17th in the league on 19 points: “West Ham finished in 16th place in the Premier League with 39 points, their lowest points tally since 2010–11 when they gained 33 points and finished bottom. Moyes' 19 games in charge produced 20 points, one more than the previous 19 games managed by Manuel Pellegrini.”

Hardly screams safe pair of hands to guide us up the table.

I always like hearing what players have to say about coaches, as they have the best insight.

Speaking to BT Sport, Rice said: "I want to say a big mention as well to the manager. There have been times this year when he's been tested, there was a period this year when a lot of the fanbase wanted him out because of results.

"But if you look at his time at this club, he's come in and saved us twice, then made Europe two years in a row and has now won that (the Europa Conference League).

"I think he's up there as West Ham's best-ever manager now, honestly it has to be said."

The club will be getting contracted by agents of managers

I think he probably does keep us up but as I’ve said before, whatever improvements happen under him , mid table finishes in particular should he stay a year or two , it will be almost lauded by a lot of fans simply because it’s not what has happened in the last four years. It will be simply existing.

I understand if you think that is being miserable or cynical. It likely that it is, it simply comes from my own personal experience of our fans and the club.

I can also see how the media will play into that as well, even a year from with him here

The Echo: Stability
Sky: Stability
Friggin Bellew: MOYES LEGEND. STABILITY.

All I see is the same patterns of behaviour from years and years ago and I find it tedious to say the least.

Maybe the new owners will be great and I will be wrong, good, I hope i am.

The time to push on was when Moyes left. We had a top 6 squad stable in European qualification and he’d just brought through Barkley, brought in Stones, and then we had the money for Lukaku.

If at that point we’d been taken over with a new stadium pre PS&R we could have gone for a top manager and absolutely motored.

Demanding a top manager when you’re in the bottom half running a sell to loan transfer policy is just not going to happen. We need to build back, Moyes can do that, and when he hits his ceiling we might be back in Europe with far better players

Is Martin O’Neill still on every list when a manager gets sacked?

He used to be suggested every time. Gary has taken over his spot. 😂

Martin O’Neill was on every list. I nearly bought him at Tesco once, he appears on my shopping list.

Thought it will be him for ages.

It's far from the best they could do and far from the worst.

It's just like circumstances have aligned and here he is.

Still think we are in for a nervy few months, but if it's him, it improves our chances of staying up.

Would be very brave of TFG to make a more risky appointment considering they were seemingly loathe to sack Dyche, but the flip side of bravery is often stupidity.

Moyes is like an appointment a risk manager would make, and that's what they'll probably go for if they can agree terms.
