Dyche was never getting sacked until TFG come in.

Dyche was never getting beyond his contract.

Hiring David Moyes on a 2 or 2.5 year deal isn't a good decision.

TFG need to sack him in the summer and bring someone in who isn't of Allardyce, Benitez, Dyche or Moyes standard.

I think people underestimate just how much the game has changed since his last tenure here.

He worked miracles here, no doubt about it but football has changed significantly since.

I'd have been onboard for a 6 month stint but sadly and understandably on his part, he wants a longer deal

Another thing being overlooked with Moyes is comparing achievements 12 years ago with now. Premier league is now a different beast. Much much better especially the bottom half teams likes of Bournemouth, Forest ( normally) etc.

Why do we always look at the same pool of managers while others actually do a little bit of research and take someone unknown and improve them. Because of these constant crap decisions, teams like Brighton etc are well in front of us now.

People forget how good the team was in his last season as it got kind of overshadowed by Bobby's first. But it was essentially just a continuation of the prior season, but with a top striker up front.

That’s not accurate, I don’t think. Martinez played Barkley extensively who had only played a handful of times under Moyes, brought in Stones who had never played under Moyes, signed Barry on loan, signed McCarthy and had Delafeou until injury - all key players . Throw in Lukaku and there were huge changes to the team under Martinez. That first season was our best since the 80s. It obviously crashed and burnt within time but Martinez was great that first year.

If they are hiring him and a back room staff on 2+ year deals while fully intending to bin him in the summer, that’s arguably more financially irresponsible than anything Moshiri did. He didn’t waste money on purpose, he was just thick and crap.

They've been talking to Moyes weeks ago. It's always been the plan if Dyche couldn't see us through safely. They've just left themselves in a poor negotiating position with the way they've gone about it.
