Moyes and Dyche are never in the same bracket

Bracket them wherever you like, like so;

The one thing Dyche brings is stability, is he ever going to win us a trophy? No clearly not! But his style is almost guaranteeing safety and that is what Moyes, Pullis, Allardyce and the likes made their careers from.

... Point is, none are the right people to progress Everton from this summer.

Maybe try watching his play. It was brilliant. He was making goals and scoring every type of goal in the book to boot - headers, volleys, solo runs, poachers efforts. And he made those numbers after a dreadful start when he was playing out on the wing under Bilic.
I'm not saying he didn't have a decent season but he scored a modest number of goals in a team that scored a modest number of goals. Deadliest in the league was an absurd statement.

A lot of folk worrying about Moyes getting a 2 year contract. It means nothing. TFG have hired and fired loads since being at Roma so it’s all about results. If Moyes is here in 2 years it’ll mean we’re on a very upward trajectory, no doubt.
If we are underperforming or struggling, he’ll be gone.

Hope so, but don't understand enough about PSR

We already have to buy half a squad this summer as it is. Sacking a manager with a decent chunk on his contract isn't ideal.

That’s not accurate, I don’t think. Martinez played Barkley extensively who had only played a handful of times under Moyes, brought in Stones who had never played under Moyes, signed Barry on loan, signed McCarthy and had Delafeou until injury - all key players . Throw in Lukaku and there were huge changes to the team under Martinez. That first season was our best since the 80s. It obviously crashed and burnt within time but Martinez was great that first year.

Was based on Moyes’ defence though. As soon as Martinez started putting his garbage defenders/keeper in, it fell apart.

I think people underestimate just how much the game has changed since his last tenure here.

He worked miracles here, no doubt about it but football has changed significantly since.

I'd have been onboard for a 6 month stint but sadly and understandably on his part, he wants a longer deal
He’s also won a bigger trophy than any of our managers since, except Carlo. He’s finished in Europe and won a European trophy recently.
I would love a bigger more exciting manager but we aren’t getting close to one of them for a while yet.
If our fans are going to slate him, at least do it with actual facts.

First Dyche, now Moyes. The word miracle has literally no meaning any more.

Well, no. I haven't.

In response to his perception he's a safe pair of hands short term - I said repeatedly his short record is what's poor. That being his 2 half season stints at West Ham (both very comparable to our situation now), and his single seasons at R.Sociedad, Man Utd and Sunderland.

I also said, as you quoted, if you think he's the right option long term then his results back that up. However, I personally don't want him long term.

Fair play.

Most of the places he failed at I can see why.

Man Utd (Wasn't given time (as his reputation wasn't big enough for them to be more patient) or the same finiancial backing bigger name managers have been afforded, therefore a self fulfilling propechy)

R. Sociedad (language)

Sunderland (They sold players out from underneath him, and broke promises they had made) I don't think any manager would have kept them up with the board\players they had at the time)

I don't mind him being here long term if he's successful. Same goes for any manager.

Would ideally prefer a more attack minded manager but our current situation doesn't really facilitate that.
