Ye agree ,but just imo felt a bit sorry for him with pantomime going on in the boardroom at the time selling big dunc behind his back comes to mind .

That spending thing isn't true. We spent loads the season that Collins, Dacourt, Materazzi etc came in. We didn't score a goal at home for about 3 months.

Dacourt cost the most 4m but materazzi cost 2.5m Collins 2.5m ,not exactly massive amounts, ye we were poor there was a few decent ones tho gravesen 2.5m .,Kevin Campbell 3m David weir.what I recall the boardroom was a shambles and have you ever heard of players getting sold behind managers backs.ye had to be sacked but the pantomime behind the scenes didn't help.
