The small world of Eddie Howe

Madness.

Literally all of that is perception. All managers at this level are disciplined, otherwise they wouldn’t be at this level.

Bielsa bottled it with Leeds last year. Leeds practically led the table all season and they lost 4 of their last 7 games, winning just 2 to fall into their playoffs where Derby knocked them out.
I'd love it if he did that with us in the prem

Wilder is a good manager but this is laughable. Every achievement Wilder has done, Howe has done better, for longer.

Howe took over Bournemouth in League Two. Took them up to League One. Left for a bit to totally rebuild Burnley (who got promoted 18 months after he left). Returned to Bournemouth in League One, took them up to the Championship and within 2 seasons was promoted to the Premier League, where he's kept them.

Like Howe, Wilder has took Sheffield United from League One to the Premier League - an achievement which deserves praise. But he's only been in the Prem for 14 games. If he keeps Sheffield United up comfortably for the next 3 or 4 seasons, then he's possibly at Howe's level.

I get what you're saying mate, and I think Howe is a good manager, but in our current state we need experience, stability and a bit more defensive nous. Howe might be a good choice in July if we had recovered to finish mid-table the season before and he has a transfer window to assess the squad. In the current state though when we're flirting with relegation it just seems very high-risk.

All that said, not sure who the alternative would be. I really hate to say it, but the idea of Rafael Benitez is not altogether terrible.
