The small world of Eddie Howe

Eddie Howe has always looked to me like a fella who's been fast tracked through Cadet school, got a commission in the Army, became a Lieutenant and cut his leaders teeth in a battle game called Abyssinia 1936.
He was then promoted to Major, was given a command fighting off Penguins in the Weddell Sea and after 3 years of holding his own, became a Colonel when the rest of the world used heavy industry, air cover, Marines and counter-intelligence.
His tactics of blowing his whistle, shouting "over the top chaps, lets make this wide open warfare" foundered badly when the opposition started to employ trenches and machine gun nests.
Basically he's hopeless when the opposition have more artillery than wings, nests, spears and a belief in magic to protect them.

Brilliant!

Mediocre manager, although he was great in Gallipoli to be fair....

Seems a nice fella but is more likely to manage Portsmouth than Everton in his near future.

I predict Bournemouth => Brighton => QPR => Portsmouth.

He’s in real trouble. Bournemouth have a difficult run in. Might be going down. I guess that’s what spending 20m on players like Solanke and Ibe will do though.
They’re as bad with money as we’ve been but had less of it to waste.

To be fair they have had lots of injuries this season so I do feel for him

historically, bournmouth have had their greatest ever decade. This man has been responsible for this. Not really a war story comparison, but he has had the club punching above their weight.
They may well go down, this will never change the fact that he is probably bournmouth greatest ever servant. All of this is immaterial if you support any other club. To me he seems like a nice guy at a small club
