The small world of Eddie Howe

He's at his level I think, and if tries another Prem club after this he's going to crash and burn IMO

He's had plenty of time and money to kick Bournemouth on and he's never done it

Every season is practically the same. They get the odd result, hang around near the relegation places and then scrape enough points to stay safe. Rinse, repeat

If he was actually working with a genuine shoe string budget (Like Wilder and, to a lesser extent, Dyche are) then I'd be more inclined to think just keeping Bournemouth barely in the League would be enough to give him a thumbs up, but with the money he's spent and the time he's had at the club to instill his "vision" he's barely got them anywhere

An absolute myth of a manager

He’s spent a lot of money (something the pundits and media fail to mention) and he’s spent it on some relatively poor players such as Ibe and Solanke. He’s somehow regressed the team in a weak league, definitely lost the squad and I think he’s taken them as far as he can. Will they sack him though that’s the question?

Yeah it always does my head in when people act like he hasn't spent any money

He's spent plenty, especially when compared to other clubs in the League

Ake is probably worth more than the entire Sheffield United squad

Ibe doesnt even get in their matchday squads and Solanke has been terrible. They must hate liverpool down there

They should do a swap with Dyche.
Then Howe will be able to have another go at trying to be a success up in the grim North.
I heard Wilder this morning on the radio and I heard him commenting that Bournemouth played well for the first twenty minutes, but as soon as we started to put the pressure on, they reverted to just hoofing the ball upfield. We're past that now.

Probably not, even if they go down with a whimper. They wouldn't be anywhere near the top flight without him and for that he'll forever be legend there and deserve respect, the job he's done overall has been extremely good. It's just he's shown that he isn't capable of managing at any higher level and if he were foreign no one of the media would be calling for for a bigger club to give him a job. Silva did brilliantly at building Estoril as a club yet his record in the Premier League is very similar to Howe's in terms of win %. Yet he was derided the moment he arrived in the league. The only difference between him and Howe is nationality.

Its an incredibly fine line though isn't it? Howe has for the most part done very well in keeping then in and around mid table over the last few seasons. This season has been a tough one with injuries and (as some have said) the depth with guys like Ibe and Solanke being poor when called upon has seen them slide into the relegation battle. However, they were right in that game yesterday vs a team that could possibly get a Europa spot. I dont think Bournemouth like maybe us and West Ham for example can be a club that firse him at the first sign of struggle. Tough one but imo if they go down he stays, unless a PL job like the aforementioned Hammers came up.

He's Moyesing Bournemouth now.

Howe’s not THAT bad for goodness sake!

Sheffield United have spent far more than Bournemouth in the last two transfer windows.

Chris Wilder has done a very good job at Sheffield United in his 1st season, but it's a different task entirely to keep them steady in the league for several seasons.
