The state of some of our fans

Saw some racism on Tuesday as well. Some lads were chanting about Daniel Sturridge being the n-word. Me and my mate hung back and let them walk on so we didn't get tarred with the same brush

Every team has baddens

I'm happy to say that most Evertonians I've come into contact with are sound

if you did stand up to the racists and abusers and it got violent

just how many people think anyone would help you?

most will keep their heads down and stay out of it

we have some idiots supporting our club

you see the untouchables at away games. you see them occasionally at goodison too.

Stupid people do stupid things and unfortunately get away with it more often than not

sad but true

many probably been on the end of it here

some may also be directly involved doing this ****

Could be the same cretins that were at Blackburn pre-season abusing the locals and singing about Sturridge being a N**ger. Hopefully if they do it again, it will be in front of the wrong people and they will regret it. ****houses.

I'm surprised that it wasn't reported and that the stewards or security in the ground didn't hear it.

That said, I wasn't there, didn't see the situation, and therefore won't be passing judgement on whether or not someone should have reported it. I mean if we're gonna call one person out, surely we need to call out the entire surrounding stand that heard this muppet and they didn't say anything either.

PMSL...a metropolitan area of almost 2,000 square miles with almost 5 million people and all of a sudden the whole area is racist. Hilarious. For most of its existence Phoenix has been a city comprised of transplants and you're lucky to find anyone over 40 who was even born in the state, let alone the city, so point your racist finger elsewhere.

Yahtzee.

(Disclosure, originally from Boston, family moved to AZ in the mid-80's... am 40 now.)

The morons seem to yap loudest, whether in Arizona, my original home in the Boston area or the OP in Goodison. The good folk are shaking their heads quietly wishing the Earth would swallow the vocal morons whole.

Here in the States you can text the section number of someone causing problems and security and cops will usually be showing up pretty quickly. This maintains anonymity. Anything like this in the UK?

In sporting events in the US you still hear plenty of BS, especially at American Football Games. However, the few times I've heard Racist rants, this in diverse South Florida, it usually doesn't end well for the ranter. In one case it went to the parking lot, and the ranter probably wished they'd been escorted out.

This has actually been in action at Goodison for some time now. You can text the seat the abuse is coming from to a quick text number and it will be investigated.

Everton’s offensive behaviour text reporting service has been upgraded for the 2013/14 season.

For the first time the service will be available to fans following Everton away from home.

For a number of years supporters at Goodison have been able to report offensive behaviour anonymously via text message.

This season a new text number has been introduced for use both home and away.

Fans can text HELP to 60030 and the message will be sent directly to Everton’s matchday safety team at Goodison.

For away matches, the messages will be delivered to the Blues’ security team who can then liaise directly with thew opposition’s stadium safety representatives and police officers who travel with away fans.

Everton’s head of security Dave Lewis said: “Following feedback from supporters concerned about the behaviour of a small minority of travelling fans who are being abusive and using smoke bombs, we have extended this service.

“The actions of these so-called fans could bring the Club’s name into disrepute and ultimately result in damaging sanctions being taken against us.

“I would urge anyone with any concerns over the behaviour of supporters to contact us straight away.”

To use the service, text the word HELP, followed by the seat, row and block number of the offender and a description of their behaviour to 60030

Messages are billed at the standard rate. Please note due to the stress placed on mobile networks at major events, sending a message doesn’t guarantee immediate receipt by our security team.
