Linderoth was swedish...but yes, we bought him from a norwegian club!
Johansen by the way is an exceptional talent and one of the best norwegian U21 players right now together with striker Marcus Pedersen who plays for dutch team Vitesse Arnheim!

I´m not fond of bringing in norwegian players to Everton but for those two I would make an exception.
But I hope we one day will see more scousers and british players in Everton colours ahead of foreign players. The latter only if they are truly great!

They had fifteen years to correct it but yes.

Celtic and Rangers spent big and had big players, sutton, kanchelskis, lambert, hartson, hendry, wallace, van bronckhorst, larsson, arteta, novo etc.

Guys who'd done it at big clubs.

Now those kind of players just aren't in scotland any more, the money isn't there, the scottish national team is mostly based in the championship, and scottish teams get their arses kicked in europe.

Same with the dutch league to be fair, the CL has killed a lot of the smaller leagues because they can't hold onto their talent.

Sutton came from chelsea, Hooper from S****horpe, you know?

When we bought ferguson down south the scottish league was vastly stronger then it is now, and even then it was weaker then it was when we bought sharp or young. The last five years that league has weakened to the extent that most purchases go to the championship.
