I think you need to realise things arent going to go as you suspect.

You suspect that our Other Operating Costs are going to increase by 30 million pound a year without any additional investment in the squad!

I don't know what will happen, but can people please stop pretending like this mega TV deal doesn't apply to Everton?

Our revenue is going to increase dramatically, and the money is going to have to be spent on Everton.

a) Only 20 clubs have the extra money, though. And we never buy from them anyway.

b) it's possible that a 2 million player might now cost 5 million and a 1 million a year wages may now go to 2 million a year but if we're go from no money to spend to 15 millino to spend we're still doing better even if we that 15 million doesn't go as far as it used to.

Good points mate. I am not saying that we do not have more cash, (and I always swerve the BK stuff), just pointing out that it does not make us "richer", relative to the other 19 clubs. Well, maybe not the promoted ones. Except Cardiff. Pfft.

Never thought about our buying record from other PL clubs. Interesting that. There must have been some; Baines/Piennar? AJ? Beattie. Good quiz question that mate!

First of all, I dont think its going to be anywhere near an extra 30m a Year, you can link as many things as you like, but I cant see us getting that much, also it depends on many factors, such as final postion, amount of times on TV and so on, but lets pretend for a second, its 30m.

We will use some of it to pay down debts, some of it will be used to improve the ground, some of it will disappear into Other Operating Costs, when we sign players, other Clubs are aware of this increase, Agents are aware of this increase, so most players wages will increase.

Possibly in 3 Years or so, we might start to see some sort of debt reduction and maybe a few licks of paint around Goodison, possibly another new pitch.

But I think you seem to think we will spend the entire 100m on players?

And also what you fail to realise is that most of our commercial deals are piss poor compared to our "peers" within the League, so thus means we are forever playing catch up.

That seems the most sensible way of spending it as it cleans the slate three or four years from now. There will still be money available and certainly this season, with a new manager, they need to give him some of it for players.

Just wondering out loud here, but if the debt is payed off, then we wouldnt need the bridging loans every off season, theirbye certain people would lose a lot of money on what they make off these loans,

Conspiracy theory time, wonder if we will spend it just so we have to do a bridging loan again each off season lol

WTF are you talking about lad??

No ones snapping at anyone, perhaps have an opinion instead of playing the ref.

Aha, as if I'd try and get people banned, especially not 2 people I quite like, ok, I'll have an opinion: Liam Bridcutt isn't good enough for Everton.

I am sure he will be given some cash to play with, maybe a decent wedge, but, what some people on here fail to grasp is the fact that every agent worth his salt will point out that the only reason the TV money is so much is because of the players.

So they will demand more. And ipsofacto, our position, relative to the league, is unchanged!

If you and your neighbour have identical houses, but you have a £50k mortgage, but he has nil, and you both win £50k on the lottery, who is better off?

Yeah but to outside leagues, regardless of who is paying, offering 5m is still 5m. It might bump the price up by a million or so and maybe the wages by 5-10 grand a week, but we've cleared two big earners off the wage bill, look set to try and offload another and may have one prised from us. I'm not saying we will be flush, but we will be in a stronger financial position certainly and hopefully it may address some of our off field problems later down the line.

Dont disagree with that mate. But so will others!

If the deal is 30 million a year, which I'm not definite on, if 15 million was put forward to the manager, plus any sales, that gives us a pretty big transfer find for us. 15 million then goes to servicing debt, possibly put a bit of money aside for redevelopment of the ground, that would seem sensible management of an important windfall. I'd also like to know how long we've got to go on stupid commercial deals like the Kitbag deal and maybe look at another sponsor. There has to be better deals out there, so we can capitalise on our lofty position in the most lucrative league in the world.

That's fine mate, I don't know because I simply haven't seen the lad play.

I was wondering how someone can form an opinion on someone they've never seen play, I don't think anyone was snapping.
