The summer 2013 Everton transfer rumourZ thread

I think IF Arsenal are serious about buying Felli, then they need to hurry up and start bidding and then we will know if Fellaini fancies going or not, which my guess would be yes!.

Arsenal look to have a fair bit to spend this summer and with them being in the CL, i think Fellaini would fancy the move there. So IF the interest is genuine, we need to get that deal sorted so we can have some decent cash to spend ourselves and start building a better team.

If his buyout clause is around 23-24 million, and say Martinez as got as little as 6-7 million to spend before sales, then by selling Fellaini we could have upto £30m in the transfer kitty this summer?!.

Weve also lost a few members of the squad and staff on good wages aswell, the likes of Moyes & Neville, then there's Mucha & Hitzlsperger, obviously add Felli's wages to it, then if we can get rid of Heitinga and put half of his fee towards to kitty and the other half towards wages, then we'll have decent money to spend and plenty of money to give out in wages aswell.

I know it's all theoretical all this, but if you stop to think about it, it does all add up and make sense and we could have good money on both the transfer kitty and wages fronts this summer which will surely give Martinez the chance in the market to compete.

I couldn't agree more mate. However I fear that it will all be left until transfer deadline day as it was when Arsenal signed Arteta.

With Fellaini and Arteta, Arsenal will have the same midfield that we had a few years ago, and they will soon find out that it isn't a great partnership and that Arteta is the better midfielder.

maybe Martinez is getting on with building the squad and not hanging round waiting to see if the Arsenal rumours have any substance, especially as they started with..'Arsenal have triggered the release clause' then moved down to Arsenal definitely interested in making a bid, then 'Arsenal could be interested'. if this continues next rumour will be 'Arsenal manager thimks Fellaini is a decent footballer . I think if he is seriously worried about Fellaini going then he will buy with that in mind and so it doesn't matter when he goes. he has said he wants deals done early which is good so squad can blend. if this happens then we can assume he is taking into consideration every probable move. you would hope that Arteta going when he did must have been something we felt we had catered for or he wouldn't have been sold.

sorry previous post sounds snappy, but feel like some blues are looking forward to spending Fellaini money, some are looking forward to Fellaini playing next season. Those of us who looking forward to him playing cant win though because the doubts will hang over it whatever. if there is suddenly some substance to the rumours he is going then we can all join in the spending of the cash but till then I just feel picked on

Footy manager or not, looks good to me pal!. :D haha. Btw, on footy manager, those 3 would cost a hell of a lot more than they would in the real world!.

I just think alot of us like the sound of having a decent amount of cash to spend IF Felli goes and we all would know how to spend it!. Haha. Wether Martinez as got the same views or not is another matter?!.

I'd be happy if he stayed, i really would, as long as Martinez had something of a kitty to be able to add 2 or 3 decent to good players that would add to the team/squad.

But i get that IF Fellaini was to leave then i think it would be a huge help to us on the transfer front and help aid Martinez's ambitions of possibly reaching the CL, IF he spent the money very wisely?!.

If he stays, great, but if he goes, ya never know, could be a blessing in disguise for us and the money could help us out ten fold?!!. But unfortunately, thats the prediciment were in with this current board, even with new money coming into the club through the new TV deals, we will only see a small fraction of it used on transfers so if we are to really have a go at improving the side in various areas, we will have to sell a Fellaini for example, thats just how it is at Everton.

I agree that money is at a premium with this board but w haven't sold our best players as much as people think. Lescott most obvious example, but Rooney hadn't really become crucial to the team, neither had Rodwell, and Arteta had clearly dipped dramatically in form for us. to be optimistic I am looking at the hope that the manager will give some people on the fringe, particularly Barkley bigger roles. that and 10 to 20 million which may already be available could be more than enough. we can still sell if it isn't. but my gut feeling is that he will wait and see if it is and I am naturally pessimistic

i have noticed a couple of these teams recently and to my surprise pienaar keeps getting missed off. I think we will see the best of pienaar under Martinez.

I agree mate and think Martinez would like to just add to what weve already got, i really do, but if someone triggers Fellaini's release clause who are in the CL, i think he'll be a gonner regardless!.

I think Martinez will be lucky to have £10m before sales, i really do, i doubt he'll have more, so it'll be upto him to wheel and deal and find some quality bargains.

I hope he does go out and buy player to add to what weve already got and see how we get on, but IF Felli goes then he'll have more money to work with and will replace him and fill out the squad which is needed!.

Pienaar, Mirallas even Barkley IMO will benefit from playing under Martinez, he'll give them all that freedom to go out and play there games and the confidence to do so aswell.

You know more than me obviously, but isn't Chadli more of an AM whereas Tadic is more of a winger? That's what I thought anyway.

I think currently Martinez we are led to believe has some money to play with but the Fellaini situation must make it quite awkward as I'm sure 24M of transfer funds coming in would change potential targets.

I think heitinga's sale and fee will provide the funds for another CB, so IMO that's neither here nor there.

Not saying this is going to happen but just say for eg. That Fellaini's fee iF sold is to provide funds for a Rooney bid or similarly another marque striker at around the 15-20M mark, Leaving the roughly 15M kitty to bring in other posistions (CM winger squad)

What happens if Fellaini doesn't go? A striker would have to be included in that 15M !?!? How long can martinez wait to find out which way its going to go?

I imagine he's stuck in a catch 22 at the moment until the Fellaini situation is decided.
