Big-spending Southampton have tabled a £7.6million bid for Valencia midfielder Ever Banega to follow their £8.5million capture of Lyon defender Dejan Lovren.

Manager Mauricio Pochettino has been given a £30million transfer warchest to transform Saints into European contenders.

The Argentine has been an admirer of fellow countryman Banega, 24, since his time managing Espanyol.

Banega, who has 17 international caps, almost joined Everton in 2009 but the move fell through because of a problem with his visa.

Saints are also considering a fresh £8million bid for Celtic striker Gary Hooper.

Pochettino wants a proven goal scorer to ease the burden on star striker Rickie Lambert.

Hooper last week held talks with relegated Reading but favours a move to the Premier League to boost his England chances.

Yeah, some of them will come good some of them wont as with all transfers, still good thing to do though, young players with lots of potential for small fee's. Getting Okore in is brilliant deal.
