Righto, time to make the move over to this thread for the rest of the summer.

A CB, CM, winger and striker please Roberto.

Lets play Football Manager for a second.

Four players for me (if Fellaini goes) is whats needed.

Im presuming the big Belgian will go for £24m and i expect Heitnga to go for around £2.5m.

This will free up a big amount for wages as them two earn around £120k a week between them.

So the four players ;

CENTRE BACK Lovren, Kjaer, Shawcross. De Vrij,

CENTRE MIDFIELD Fer, McCarthy, Claise, Strootman

WIDE PLAYER Sinclair, Moses, McManaman, Mertens, Lens

STRIKER Bony, Aubameyang, Remy

Ideally another goalkeeper if any funds available.

This would give us a side of ;

Howard
Coleman, Baines, Jagielka, NEW SIGNING
Mirallas, Gibson NEW SIGNING, NEW SIGNING
Jelavic, NEW SIGNING

Thats putting four new signings in the first eleven which probably wont happen but still gives us the likes of Distin , Hibbert, Osman, Barkley, Pienaar as other options.

Maybe Moyes changed his mind cos that when he knew he was leaving and wanted to leave the money till the new manager.

Could well be true, id be shocked if Moyes did have the money to sign Bony and Fer in January knowing both could give us the push towards the Champions League and chose not to spend it.

We will never know but we know what Moyes like, he pulled out of a few deals cos he cant make his mind up.

New manager Roberto Martinez says Everton must strengthen this summer to build on the club's recent success.
Under predecessor David Moyes, the Toffees finished in the top eight of the Premier League for seven seasons in a row between 2007 and 2013.
"We need to bring new signings, players who will develop that competition and give different options on the playing field," the 39-year-old told BBC Sport.
"We want to bring an extra dimension and competition for places."

Love it, we deffo need more competition

Are the majority of deals done on tick these days???
I mean like fellaini for eg was 3M a year for 5yrs wasn't he?

If we're going to be around 15M better off a year (after Loss's) with the tv money coming in does that mean we can basically use that for say 4 signings with initial 3M payments followed by the same every year??

Rooney - 5M a year over 5yrs???? Transfer fee maybe plausable?? Forgetting wages with him obviously!

Im sure he did and thats why his record in the transfer market is as good as most, id rather him dither than dive in feet first and regret it later.

Yep, that the way he works but sometimes you loose a quality player cos he not a good boy like Phil

Donavan is too old now, Would rather buy another defender then Lescott

I agree, Donovan been and gone got to look at younger options and as much as i rate Lescott as a player and if he was available at £5m he would be a good addition id like us to look at a younger centre backl to play along side Jags.
