Suspect Derby County would be able to spell "official"...
I've been doing my daily rounds of looking at players who I would love for us to sign, even though I know rightly we will never sign them. Found this lad, Alen Halilović, who got his first Croatia cap this season at just 17 years old. Done a bit of research and he's touted to be bloody brilliant.
Got me thinking, why do we never sign young foreigners? Teams in Italy and Germany always bring in young lads from abroad and they always go on to be great players, there is like a reluctance in England and in particular Everton.
Saying that, never seen him play nor know much about his style of play. Would still be nice for a 'wonderkid' to sign on.
Never seen him play and you want us to sign him?
How could you possibly know hes a wonder kid ffs
Honestly this thread should be buried up Jimmy Savilles decaying arse hole
What's the deal with that Shibby?
Is it due to his relgion or something?

I didn't say i wanted us to sign him, christ, I know nothing about him. I said I want us to look to a foreign market to secure youngsters. Just looking around seeing players like Lewandoski, Jovetic, Vucinic all signed when young for relatively low fees and going on to be brilliant.
Lies from who then :
http://www.nsno.co.uk/everton-news/2013/06/fer-knee-stories-were-nonsense/
One-time Everton target Leroy Fer has claimed that stories that he failed a medical with the Blues because of a knee problem were nonsense.
The Twente midfielder was subject to a late offer from the Blues in the January transfer window, but several reasons for it’s breakdown surfaced when he failed to sign at Goodison Park.
Some sources claimed his knee was a concern for the Blues, a story which spread quickly, although more enlightened sources tell us that the reason he failed to sign was that Twente failed to submit their part of the paperwork on time for the transfer to happen. Stories that he has a long-term knee problem still haunt Fer though, and he wants to set the record straight.
“Everyone knows what happened in the winter is at FC Twente,” said Fer. “I was happy to go to Everton. The story of my knee is complete nonsense, I’ve played through everything after the winter.
“Of course the failed transfer did something to me, I just do not trust anyone anymore. Everton coach David Moyes has tried to pick me up. He is now at Manchester United.
“Now it remains to be seen. I have two seasons at FC Twente and it’s not a punishment to play football there. If anything comes up, we will look.”

Looks like we've blown it then
I know its a Jarg Twitter but Will Hughes would be a good buy for me.
Can ping a ball and very good on it, at around 5-6 million as well.
I mentioned Redmond earlier and I'd take him as well.
I know they're players for the future but they'd get a look in and lets be honest, we need to build.
To be fair, we haven't even got the most out of the young players we already have
I would like to see how Martinez utilises them before we start buying any more youngsters
I dunno, I think it seems more like Twente blew it first time round because they wanted to keep him.
He has still spoken very highly of us in any interview I have seen since.
