Agreed, the thought of Bill and his new manager scares the crap out of me when it comes to the future of the club. The last manager had his issues but we treaded water at the right end of the table and we kept our best players for a good while before Bill paid back the loans.

Wigan were relegated so were bound to lose their better players.

My issue is the amount that was offered. £10m is simply insulting and would cripple us if we accepted it. If he offered £18m straight away I don't think it would annoy me as much.

Saying that, I think transfers work a bit differently at Man Utd. Moyes would basically tell Gill which players he wants and he does what it takes to get them. I refuse to believe that someone like Moyes would think that Baines is only worth £10m to us, he's not that stupid.
