If you base it on transfer value Baines is the 4th best in the world and we should get at least 20 million

Valuations of other players is irrelevant.
The question is how badly David Moyes wants Leighton Baines. Does he feel he is the missing piece of the jigsaw ?
David Moyes is under enormous pressure to prove that he is the right man to follow SAF. It could very easily go very wrong for him and he will want everybody around him to give him the best chance.
Of course that is countered by a natural caution, where he tries to get full value for his pound.

I think rather than going for Robles we should go for Guaita from Valencia, great keeper and unlucky to be no.2 to Alves who I don't rate.

I'd take Robles from Ath Madrid, we need to sort our GK situation out and not just sign an understudy to fill if Howard is ever needed. We need strong competition.

Although Robles did make his mistakes last season, he did impress and i personally thought that for a keeper who is 22 odd and coming to a new and arguably more physical league he did pretty well. Won't want to be third choice and seen somewhere he would be available for about 2-3 mil.

-We need a new keeper and one who is young is a plus
-He knows the manager and his tactics
-May come cheap
-Will keep Howard on his toes

Worth the gamble!

Won't be for a couple weeks yet, just had that u21 tournament in Turkey. Will be the next De Gea IMO, if not better. Could well follow the likes of Casillas, Valdes.
