Cardiff are absolute morons! Going in for players who have no intention of joining them offering top wack money and in-effect setting the price for the player. The player is then having to wait around whilst other clubs make No offers due to size of Fee, until finally player rejects move to Cardiff, and a sufficient time has to pass until another club can make a lower offer...

As I said Morons!! First Ince, now capoue, didn't work with cornelius and there stuck with him for 7.5M.

they're panicing aren't they. not too sure what they're doing tbh, they need about 7/8 new first team players, especially those who are experienced at this level (and not in a bad way like mark hudson). I don't think blowing £10m on one player is the way to go, more two very good £5m players or 3 at £3.5m ish

You will look a little silly if they sign him mate.

If a club does not want to sign a player then an excuse is easy to come to - fail to agree personal terms or even a failed medical which is rumoured we have used as recently as January. I have nt got a clue quite why a club would spunk £7.5m on a player they don't want

In a way - but none of Tevez/Vucinic/Quagliarella/Giovinco look to get in behind the defence, that's why Matri is important for Juve, because he's their only striker who does that.

Only just read this.

Surely Giovinco's whole game is based on getting in behind the defence?!

I'm not having a go here by the way.

No mate, that's not what I ment. Of course they wanted him but being who they are they are going to have to bid big money to get him/them. If anyone else wanted him once a high bid is accepted for Cardiff, there not gonna accept lower for say us for eg. Now if the player sign and wants to join Cardiff great for them both, if like Ince and I would imagine capoue don't, then the price has been set by Cardiff bidding high, EFC for example may have been able to get a bid accepted for a couple of mill less without there high bid.

I'd be amazed if capoue went to Cardiff. However yes it may make me look a little silly now! Haha

Capoue's literally the player we need, I would LOVE us to just go for it. There's absolutely no real reason we shouldn't.

Oh and people saying he wouldnt go to Cardiff, you should never underestimate the pull of the Premier League, not to mention im sure Cardiff offer more wages than Toulouse.

Higher wages
Higher exposure

The reason Tom Ince turned them down is cos his Dads not daft, well he is, but he knows that theres a reasonable chance that Cardiff are going straight back down and lets face it, apart from a current League, is Cardiff really a step up from Blackpool?

They've given him a bit to spend, he's just assesing his squad to see what he needs, any more signings will take place after America probably.

Soon to be better tax break in this country for him, than his native France. 70% tax and lower wages v 45% tax and higher wages, no brainer.
