You mean defense?

Yupp

And the way they say "Red Bulls are winning 1-nothing"

Yeah very annoying.

Watching this, i think Cahill probably made a good choice going to the MLS, its a good way to end his career whilst earning alot of money, good pace for him, and he plays with Henry and against the likes of Donovan and Beckham. I'll have to start watching the MLS abit this season!

At Red Bulls game. Timmy draws the penalty with classic hustle into box. Cooper converts 1-0. He's going to do just fine here.

Sure looks like it doesn't it? I'm going to check out his games against Houston - I've got MLS Direct Kick.

God I hope it's an LA vs NY MLS Cup Final. Come on soccer gods (apologies to other folks I know on here that are fans of other MLS sides).

Hope those of you who do stick around!!! And are pleasantly surprised. The league is better than most people think.

Plus, Tim in his first season will get to experience the playoffs!

How did he get on in the end last night? Did he play the full 90 mins?

He only played 45. But even that was impressive considering his hectic schedule. From what I understand he was held up in Canada (I think?) due to visa problems, flew in (possibly Monday?), had presser, even snuck in some training with the squad, & was thrown right into action last night. He must be exhausted not to mention still far from fully fit. So all things considered very encouraging to even get a half in.

Everything I've read says he'll be getting minutes this week against Houston, and of course the week after.

Both games are nationally televised on NBC Sports Channel, so for those of you still up, you'll be able to watch it online.

8/3 NY vs. Houston 8pm EST (1am UK time I believe) - BBVA Compass Stadium
8/10 NY vs. Houston 8pm EST (1 am UK time I believe) - Red Bull Arena

NY came out today and said Cahill's starting this weekend. Tune in to get your Tim Cahill fix.

NBC Sports Network.
