Need to get a better aerial for mine, I can only pick up the same old animal programs.

I need a new TV as my current one is 10 years old. I was going to get one of these LG C2 65" but as soon as I saw the £1,800 price I decided to save a bit of money and gave my 4 year old a brush and a few tubs of paint and he's managed to recreate this on the wall. 4K & 3D for just £12

I know you are joking, but it's astonishing to think that it is possible to pay so much for a TV. I like watching stuff, but do I £1800 like watching stuff? Nope!

Probably a sign of watching too much TV if its that important to you. Or you have too much cash.

With teles it seems like if you wait 6 months for 1 you want it'll drop about 50% in price anyway once the next model hits the shelves

Anyone got Sky Glass?
Yeah I got the 43" as my room and wallet wouldn't suit the bigger sizes. Really impressed with the colours and sounds from it but then it replaced a nearly 20 year old set so would have easily bettered what I had.

I got rid of the Sky Q and use Glass for boxsets and Netflix only. Its a very good concept but will need tweaked to be suitable for more owners. As there is no recording you are relying on streaming channels so if you miss a show/episode you sometimes need to wait until the next day to catchup whereas on older Sky you would have Series Linked.

That you can’t record is a flaw for me as plenty of stuff I watch (like live sport) just isn’t replayed.

Am I right that Sky don’t allow you to have Glass in one room and then Sky Q in another?

No idea if that's true mate. Having Sky Q and Sky Glass would mean two separate Sky contracts which would be VERY expensive. Sky Glass with a 4k Firestick is the future though once these on-demand folks sort themselves out.

I have a 50" Panasonic plasma TV that still works after 13 years. It broke awhile back and to my own delight, since I am definitely not an "electronics/computer fix-it" guy, I managed to fix it by watching a youtube video to disasemble it and replace a circuit board that I bought for like 15$. By today's standards it is way outdated and the resolution isn't up to par with newer technologies, but it works just fine so I hope it last another 10 years or so.
