Surely with profit you need to have a metric for what value a player brings to the club itself too. Pickford has gone down in value according to his but he had some performances that have been worth millions this season, stuff like that.

When I see all those players with (inj) next to them, that's not bad luck. It's clearly a failing of the medical department. Quite a few players had routine injury records before arriving at Everton.

For all the damage he did during his short tenure, Benitez binning off Dan Donachie has my vote. Clearly popular with the players but an absolute failure in getting those same players on the pitch. Granted, I have no idea on the intricacies of elite sports medicine but his department failed and he headed it.

He seems to spend his day's sniping on twitter and posting the occasional enigmatic message, so I don't think he's been snapped up to conduct medical experiments elsewhere.

Deffo, but worryingly our injury woes seemed to then get even worse. We had two players get injured during warm ups in the run in too which is proper amateur stuff.

Thanks Eagle Eye for the efforts, good stuff, very interesting. A couple things jumped out for me, the first is I believe Pickford’s value is much higher. Second, this analysis for me just underscores the need to invest in and develop younger more dynamic players, so we get several good years from them while still retaining good sell value.
