There has a been a huge increase in local west African air travel as well as lots more logging roads and international roads connecting African countries over the last 40 years. This greatly increases the transmission rates. Essentially, each outbreak has a better chance of spreading as time goes by. Further, bat populations fluctuate quite a bit and when their habitats are disturbed due to logging then the populations migrate to more populated areas. Essentially, more habitat disturbance, larger population sizes, and increased connectivity both among people and vectors can lead to a large outbreak when 30-40 years ago it was much more containable. It is also possible that there is not a just one "patient zero" but several in this instance.
I don't mean to pile on to you in terms of naysaying, but I think there is a reasonable explanation for this past outbreak that doesn't invoke a conspiracy by the USA. And your idea about how it spreads differently today than before is wrong. That said, the USA has certain done some cruel sh_t in the past, but usually there is a motive for it that involves national security or profit. They ran drugs in California to feed the cost of waging wars against perceived Marxists in Central/South America. As for west Africa, destablizing the region with a virus is the last thing they would want to do, as many Muslim groups from the North would take over the oil-rich regions in Nigeria, causing great problems for western economies.
I think we can safely say all "developed" nations of the world in general have done some cruel stuff to less developed countries as well as their own.
I don't know what you're talking about. Britain, Spain, Germany, Italy, France, Belgium, Portugal and the Netherlands have a long and distinguished history of keeping to themselves.

Is it the beginning of Agenda 21? I'm sure most people haven't even heard of that but to imply that any dissenting view is due to a lack of education is very dismissive to me. I mean I can only speak for myself but in a couple of months I'll have a degree in politics so I can certainly attest to having taken a "course" or two within the relevant field. I point to Tuskegee, MK Ultra, Operation Northwoods, the Gulf of Tonkin, Iran Contra, CIA drug trafficking, Operation Mockingbird, COINTELPRO and Edward Snowden as just a select few examples of how the U.S. Government is quite untrustworthy and willing to consider the murder of its own people with complete disregard and en think maybe it's not so easily dismissed. Not that I nor most others could have enough facts at this point to make an informed decision.
How about this for a similar occurrence?
"From 1954 to 1961, simian virus 40 (SV40) somehow showed up in polio vaccines, according to the American Journal of Cancer. Researchers estimate 98 million people in the U.S. and even more worldwide received contaminated inoculations."

I don't know what Simian Virus is but didn't people question how AIDS travelled between monkeys and humans? I mean maybe it was some kind of mistake but if you believe that if that was the case and that the Government would admit culpability then Youd be mad. I could name hundreds of occasions where the government has been proven responsible for the deaths of individuals yet have deliberately withheld compensation until as many as possible of the victims had died in order to reduce the bill.
