Used to work with a lad who was an ex Marine Commando, him and his brother ( also an ex Marine ) used to go camping around Snowdon when the weather was like this - they had all the arctic gear. He`d wait until the weather was like it has been and then just get off for a week in the snow

Crikey! It wasn’t that cold today, but the wind was in our faces all the way up, I certainly wouldn’t want to camp out in those conditions.

Was overtaken by a woman ‘jogging’ up to the top with her dog! We chatted at the summit and she said she runs up every day! Bonkers!

It`s called Canicross.

They`re proper nutters, as the dog drags you along and you have to be insanely fit to keep pace with the dog

Was out walking in the hills above Stirling with the missus yesterday, some fantastic views over the city.
We found 2 places we hadn't heard of before, Cocksburn reservoir which leads to a path up Dumyat hill (Part of the Ochills) Will walk up there another time as it was too flooded in places and mine wood a steep, and still ancient woodland.

Big fan of Dumyat, easy hour at most stroll to the top but it's got more character to it than the rest of the Ochils. A tad too busy sometimes but that's to be expected that close to Stirling.

You want a pair of these - Adidas Terrex.

I’d always walked in conventional walking boots ( Zamberlan ) until my mate put me onto these.

Super light, instantly comfy, grippy and the GTX are waterproof.

One of the best bits of kit I’ve ever bought.
I love my Zambo's but might give these a try.
We got another 6 inches of snow here in the DC region today and the waterproof ones sre invaluable.
