Worst storm since 98 being predicted here in N Ireland. Hopefully not going to be as bad as expected, but hope everyone is OK tomorrow.

Absolutely lashing down where I am (Dublin) pressure dropping like a stone, my ears are popping. We're still about 6 hours away from the red alert FFS. Some of the charts are insane for the west of Ireland. Sustained wind speeds of 200kph expected in Galway.
Gonna be a lot of damage. Be amazed if we have power tomorrow.

Been very rough here in Clare the last few hours with very heavy rain and wind. But the wind has picked up immensely last ten minutes with the roof rattling and red warning not kicking in here for another 2 hours. I think it's going to be a bad one

US aircraft to track Storm Éowyn from Shannon
An aircraft from the US based National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) is in Shannon Airport for a number of days to study the movements of the strong winds brought on by Storm Éowyn.
