Grinding to a halt it is then.

Cue all the proper cold weather dwellers doing crocodile dundee-esque, 'that's not cold, this is cold,' then falling about laughing on how a country on more or less the same latitude as moscow cant cope with the fact it gets a bit nippy in winter

A friend of mine has been living in Victoria (Melbourne for most of that time) for the last two years and said he is absolutely sick of their summers, a bit ridiculous imo as he works in air-conditioned offices all day, says he'd far prefer 2 or 3 C to the completely ludicrous heat they get everyday of the week.

Agree with him, it's still over 30 degrees and its after 10pm. Ridiculous.
