Absolutely hate working outdoors in this heat but it does have the benefit of knackering me out so much that I have no problem sleeping in this heat.

We had a really violent storm here last night. Lasted about an hour. There was only a one second gap between lightning flashes and almost continuous thunder. This lasted for about an hour and was accompanied by torrential rain. Reminded me of the monsoon storms in Singapore. We were once sat in the barrack room in Singapore while the monsoon raged outside. We were all sat on our metal framed beds when a bolt of lightning shot in through the open door at one end, zigzagged its way down the barrack room from bed frame to bedframe and out the door at the other end. It was so fast it only took about a second but left us all just looking at each other. Fortunately, no one was hurt. I made sure all the windows were tightly shut last night.
We very rarely get thunderstorms here in the Bar Area but had a huge one last night. Started around 3am and been off and on since then.
Really hoping the neighbors huge eucalyptus doesn’t get hit.
