The Wirral

Used to have to get the train to Chester for work quite often. Stop after stop of Wirral nothingness... Port Sunlight, Spital, Eastham Rake, Rock Ferry. They sound more like Mario Kart levels.

And nobody ever got off at any of them. I reckon they used to get off at Chester and walk back to avoid the shame.

W. The letter W. It's just a weird letter.
'W' is weird though.
Think about it. It is pronounced ' double u', when in fact spelt ' double v'.
From now on, my postal district shall be spelt, 'VVirral' to recognise this difference.
It will further serve to embarrass the originators of our neo non-inflect pseudo European pronunciation of verbiage, and will forever damn the English language for allowing such an unbelievable inaccuracy for all these centuries.
A pox on them all, sir.
Right, now where's me beak?

1. Sunglasses perched on top of head at most times of year.
2. Enjoys several 'hobbies' and splashes out on top of the range gear for each.
3. When not pretending to be scousers, condescend about those of us who are.
4. Their accents generally sound like John Lennon circa 1965.
5. Pronounce their 'O' vowel as in the word 'most' like that scrote, Danny Murphy.

Please post more regularly, friend.
Without trying to appear grandiose or anything, or indeed that I am the only one who has important things to do, I really only have a limited time available for such luxuries. But, the time I do have these days is now largely spent reading, and thoroughly enjoying, the different opinions and interpretations of events with my Blue family.
Plus, I am really slow typing anything. If there is a word with, say, a double 't' in it, I am the sort who spends ages scouring the keyboard for the other 't'. Not good is it (rhetorical).
I always thought retirement would be boring, but GOT made me rethink that little misnomer.

Mental.

I love you already.

You can tell the scouse from the wools by asking them to say the word 'bag'

Scousers will say 'bag'

Wools will draw the 'a' sound out, as in 'baaaaaag'

Those wools what do say 'bag' are scagrats.
