We were actually thinking of moving to Slovakia at one point, so the girlfriend went over there to live for a while to test it out (luckily the men are in the main as ugly as the women are good-looking - sorry everton1878sk, efc fans obviously not included in that statement!). In the end we decided not to for various reasons, but the country is still great. Brilliant scenery, loads of history, nice people, booming economy, and cheap as chips - apart from Bratislava which is more expensive than Vienna in some parts. Still a good city and well worth a visit though.

Give us a shout if you want some places to visit outside Bratislava. Otherwise if you're just up for fun, there's heaps of action in the old town, with a lot of stuff devoted to stag going on. Locals tend to go outside that area (for that reason), especially at weekends. You might want to ask our Slovakian friend here about the club scene - they'd throw me out for being an old fart. (Again I have got some write-ups for clubs and restaurants from the local English-language mag.)
